Movie: Raging Bull
Review by Rahul K (rahulimpossible)
Cast: Robert De Niro, Cathy Moriarty
Director: Martin Scorsese
This movie actually I watched when I was soo young and don’t even know English, and the movie does not require any dialogue to understand, the scene says it all, we can say it was standout movie, you can imagine about how good is this movie is ,when it reached a boy who lives exactly opposite part of the world that too in a smallest village where no one speaks English.(ya its me only).
Raging Bull is a masterpiece. I don't think many people can dispute that, and if they try, they make themselves look foolish. There are several amazing scenes and sequences, Raging Bull is one of my personal favorites. The greatest sports movie ever made is called This Sporting Life. Absolutely fantastic movie,
Very moving film with grade A performances and amazing cinematography. I love the scene where the camera follows La Matta to his fight with Cerdan midways thru the movie. The score was wisely chosen by Martin Scorcese as it becomes the theme of the life and times of Jake La Matta. De Niro earned this Oscar not only with his performance but with his commitment to ensure the most accurate depiction of LaMatta is experienced. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates great film.
I wasn't a huge fan the first time I watched it, but I gave it another chance after people were nagging me about it, and the more I watched it, and the more I learned about it, the more I loved it. Now it's one of my favorite movies.
